Chords, Guitar Tablature & Lyrics
____________________________________________________________________________________

I think that there are two acoustic and two electric guitars playing in this song - it's really hard to tell with all the keyboards and string parts. I'm going to show you the chords - you can take it from there. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.

WARNING: If you try to play this song along with the record - you will be out of tune! You need to tune your guitar down almost a half step. The song on the record sounds like it's almost in Db rather than D - but even then it's not in tune. It sounds like the Daredevils recorded it D and then slowed down the recording when recording the master tape - thus making it sound a little flat (down to almost Db). Anyway if you tune your guitar down to almost a half step, when you play a D it would sound like a Db and match the sound on the recording. Sorry for this inconvenience, but the 'record' is just not in tune. Or am I out of tune?

TIPS:

In the intro part, the (a) Bm means to play an A note - in this case, fifth string open, then play a Bm chord. The trick is to ready the Bm fingering then lift the first finger just right before you play the A note - then put the first finger back down to play the Bm chord.

When playing the part that has these four chords: D, F#m/C#, Bm, & A chords, the bottom note of each of the chords makes a descending bass part - so play this part cleanly! The bass note pattern is note(string/fret): D(4/0), C#(5/4), B(5/2), A(5/0). The same goes for the D, F#m/C#, Bm, & G chords. The bass note pattern is note(string/fret): D(4/0), C#(5/4), B(5/2), G(6/3).
