Chords, Guitar Tablature & Lyrics
____________________________________________________________________________________
I think that there are two acoustic guitars and two electric guitars in this one. I'm going to show you the chords and a tip or two - you can take it from there. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.
Click here if you want only the lyrics.
THE CHORDS:

Welcome to the city, welcome to disaster
You see a pretty girl, but you're walkin' right past her
You give it up, get it back, turn around and ask her
G
She don't talk back so you talk a little faster
A
Winkin' in a snapshot, wavin' like a bigshot
You're feelin' pretty good 'til you think you hear a gunshot
Another punk outta junk, breakin' in a pawn shop
Cops yell freeze so you take another snapshot

Jumpin' in a taxi, gotta see the band play
It's on a little sidestreet, a little off of Broadway
You make a turn, then you learn, you're goin' down the wrong way
The cabby wants a tip 'cause he got you there the hard way

TIPS
Most of the Song
The chord symbols do not pertain to any number of beats.
The electric guitars play the A chord like this:
A
1 -|| -------------------------------
2 -|| -------------------------------
3 -|| -------------------------------
4 -|| ------2-----------------------
5 -|| ------0-----------------------
6 -|| -------------------------------
When you play the A chord with your 1st finger on the 2nd fret, you can play the low note (g) that you hear once in a while with your 2nd finger:
A
1 -|| -----------------------------------
2 -|| -----------------------------------
3 -|| -----------------------------------
4 -|| ------2---------------------------
5 -|| ------0---------------------------
6 -|| --------------3p-------------------
When you hit that low note, bend it toward the 2nd finger - that's what the 'p' means - to pull it.
Here is what the tab would look like for playing the A chord for pretty much the whole song.
A
