TIPS

All of Song

Most of the time that you see the Am chord symbol, it gets six beats. If you see Am4 - it gets four beats.

D(lick)

Is a reminder that there is where you play a quick D chord and the synthesizer then plays these notes:

1 -|| -------------------------------------------
2 -|| -------------------------------------------
3 -|| -------------------------------------------
4 -|| -----5-4-2--------------------------------
5 -|| ------------5-3-2-------------------------
6 -|| -------------------5-3-5------------------

Guitar

When you play the Am chords on the guitar, quickly play the notes indicated below before playing the chord. The trick is to position your fingers in the Am position then lift up the 3rd and 4th fingers - strike the strings and then quickly put the 3rd and 4th fingers in the proper position.

       Am               C  Bm7
1 -|| -5-5----5-5----5-5--------------
2 -|| -5-5----5-5----5-5--------------
3 -|| -5-5----5-5----5-5--------------
4 -|| -5-7----5-7----5-7--------------
5 -|| -5-7----5-7----5-7--------------
6 -|| -5-5----5-5----5-5--------------

Bass

The bass line during most of the song (not the beginning) for the Am chord is:

       Am             C  Bm7
1 -|| ------------------------------
2 -|| ------------------------------
3 -|| ------------------------------
4 -|| ------------------------------
5 -|| ---------------------3---2----
6 -|| -3-5---3-5---3-5---------------

The G note (6/3) is played shortly on every other up-beat, the A (6/5) is then played but hold the note and then slide toward the bottom of the neck.
